We are proud members of the Cheshire’s Gardens of Distinction campaign. Formally launched in 2008, to celebrate Cheshire’s Year of Gardens 08, Cheshire’s Gardens of Distinction are a consortium of 20 gardens including Tatton and Arley Hall. Their aim is to raise awareness by promoting the richness and diversity of Cheshire’s horticultural assets and increase visitor spend in the region from national and international markets.
Membership improves our networking opportunities and public profile, particularly on the Visit Chester and Cheshire website. It means that the garden is included in 5 marketing brochures which are distributed throughout Cheshire.
Marketing Cheshire coordinates the marketing activity on behalf of the gardens, producing leaflets and developing websites, social media and advertising campaigns. They also work alongside tour operators to develop travel packages to encourage visitors from further afield.
“Home of England’s Finest Gardens – Whether you prefer to discover our fabulous stately homes or get a blast of fresh air and wander through the gardens – Cheshire’s gardens have something for everyone.”
“From stately homes and secret gardens, the quintessentially English to exotic oriental planting, it’s Cheshire’s ever-changing landscape that continues to inspire and attract us – and the thousands of visitors that relax in, and enjoy, our gardens every year.”
